Education

Educational History:

Me gradué de la secundaria de Trenton en el 2003. Despues fui al Colegio Comunitario del Condado de Colín ese mismo año. En el 2008 me gradué con un Grado de Asociado en Arte. Ese mismo año empecé mis estudios para poder ser maestra bilingüe. Con mucho esfuerzo y trabajo me gradué con una licenciatura de estudios interdisciplinarios en el 2012 de Texas Woman’s University. 

I graduated from Trenton High School in 2003. I went to Collin County Community College in 2003 and graduated with an Associate of Arts Degree in 2008. That fall I began my studies to become a bilingual teacher and in 2012 I graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies from Texas Woman’s University. 

Degrees and Certifications:

Tengo un certificado de dar las clases de primera infancia hasta el 6to grado (EC-6) en educación general. También tengo un certificado de dar clases bilingües de primera infancia hasta el 6to grado (EC-6). 

I have a degree to teach Early Childhood to Sixth grade in general education (EC-6). I also have a degree in Early Childhood through sixth grade in Bilingual Education (EC-6). 

Professional Development:

Cada año asisto a clases que ofrecen para poder ser la maestra más informada para sus hijos(as) y que para que ellos(as) puedan ser exitosos.

Every year I attend various professional developments so that I can be the most knowledgeable teacher for your children and so that they can be successful. 

Current Position:

Mi primer año aquí en esta maravillosa escuela fue el mismo año que me gradué de Texas Woman’s University que fue en el 2012. Este año sera mi noveno año en esta primaria de Finley Oates. Soy maestra bilingüe de segundo grado. En mi clase aprenderemos matematicas, lectura y lenguaje, y ciencias en ingles. Aprendermos lectura y lenguaje en español y estudios sociales sera integrado en lectura y lenguaje en español e ingles. 

My first-year teaching was the same year I graduated from Texas Woman’s University which was in 2012. This will be my 9th year teaching here at Finley Oates Elementary. I am a second grade Bilingual Language teacher. In my classroom, we will be learning Math, Language Arts and Reading and Science all in English. We will also learn Spanish Language Arts and Reading. Social Studies will be integrated into our ELAR and SLAR lessons. 

Family Information:

Estoy casada con mi maravilloso esposo, Juan. Este año cumpliremos 14 años de casados. Tenemos una hermosa hija que se llama Analy. Analy estará en el 8vo grado este año escolar. En noviembre del 2018 nos llego nuestra segunda princessa, Arely. Arely y Analy son lo mas precioso que tenemos en nuestras vidas y las amamos a las dos muchisimo!

I am married to my wonderful husband, Juan. This year we will celebrate 14 years of marriage. We have a beautiful daughter whose name is Analy. Analy will be in 8th grade this year. In November 2018 we welcomed our 2nd princess, Arely. She and Analy are wonderful blessings and we love them both so much! 

Personal Information:

Mi pasa tiempo favorito es leer. Si encuentro un libro que me encanta no me gusta soltarlo hasta terminarlo. En mi tiempo libre me encanta ir de compras. También me gusta pasar el tiempo con mis hijas y esposo afuera en nuestro patio disfrutando del día.

My favorite hobby is to read. If I find a great book I can’t put it down until I finish it! During my times off, I like to shop! I also love to spend time with my daughters and husband on our back porch enjoying the day.
