I have been at BISD for 5 years. I worked in the LHR Life Skills classroom from 2016-2018. I then moved to the Finley-Oates campus and taught Life Skills from 2018-2021. This will be my first year in Kindergarten. I am very excited and looking forward to this school year!
I was a a Jr High and High School Sped Resource Teacher in Trenton from 1996-2000. I worked for our family business from 2000-2015. I then decided to return to teaching in 2016. It was the best decision I’ve made. I am very proud to be a part of BISD! I taught Life Skills from 2016-2018 at LHR. I then moved campuses to teach Life Skills at Finley-Oates from 2018-2021. I transitioned to Kindergarten in 2021. I have loved every position I’ve been in, and am loving my Kindergarten classroom and team!
Gregory and I have been married 28 years. We lived in Bonham for 20 years. We recently built a new house outside of Bonham in the country. We have two children that have grown up in Bonham ISD. Our daughter graduated this past year and is attending Grayson County College. Our son is a sophomore this year. Their school and church activities keep us very busy.
I love to read! I mainly read suspense/thriller novels – John Sanford, David Baldacci, Michael Connelly, etc. However, I also love children and young adult books. Fortunately, my family also loves to read. We can spend hours inside of a library or book store!
Other hobbies include working in my flowerbeds, cooking, camping, hiking and hunting. We also love to kayak. Pretty much anything outdoors. We are very family oriented, so anything that we can do together, especially outdoors, is fun for us!
