I am beginning my 16^th year of teaching and my first year at Finley-Oates in Bonham. I will be teaching third grade and am very excited to be a part of the Finley-Oates and BonhamISD family. I am looking forward to teaching our third graders. 

After graduating from college, I spent a semester by substituting in Sherman and Bells ISD. The next year I took a position as an Instructional Aide in Bells. I began my teaching career at Sherman in 1996. I completed 14 years of teaching in multiple subjects and grade levels in Blue Ridge. I stepped away from teaching and went to work at Cigna for 9 years with the last five years in Instructional Design. I have worked with our children’s class at our church for numerous years. 

I am married to my awesome husband, Shane and we recently celebrate our 30^th wedding anniversary next May. I have two amazing grown children, Kailey (27), and Wade (21). I have a sweet bonus grown child, my son-in-law, Colton. I also have two wonderful grandchildren, Daphne (2) and Liam (1). I also have a Chihuahua/Jack Russell terrier mix named Eva and our son has a Border Collie mix named Sadie. 

When I am not at school, I love to spend time with my family. I love to be outdoors on our land, help with our garden picking, take care of my flower beds, and play with our dogs. I love spending time with my husband at his deer lease, fishing, and going to trades days to look for neat finds. We like to go on driving trips to explore different parts of Texas.
