1st Grade Teacher
I grew up in Amarillo, Texas and graduated from Tascosa High School in 2013. I began my college education at Amarillo Community College before transferring to Collin College when moving to the Dallas-Forth Worth area. To finish up my Bachelor’s degree I then transferred to the Univerity of North Texas, where I graduated with my Bachelor’s of Applied Arts and Scienes with a concenration in Child Development. I also have three sub minors in Business, Communications, and Behavior Analysis.
This will be my first year of teaching and my first year as a Bonham Warrior. I am honored to be the newest first grade teacher in Bonham ISD.
Prior to taking my first teaching position this year, I was employed as a paraprofessional/teacher’s aide since 2013. I have worked for Amarillo ISD, Frenship ISD, Mckinney ISD, and most recently Celina ISD. Almost all of my time as a paraprofessional was spent in special education. I have learned a wide variety of stratagies to help students with various disabilities and behavior needs.
I have been married for seven years to my lovely husband, Daniel. Together we have a son named Theodore who attends Bonham ISD and two dogs named Fonzy and Bowser.
I love traveling, trying new foods, and being outdoors. When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with family, friends, and my two dogs.
